Surely All the Men’s Fault ~ So Called “Forced Heterosexuality”

Feminist teaching on patriarchy includes so called “forced heterosexuality.” Radical feminist claim our society is “romanticizing” heterosexuality. In other words they’ve been left behind. They present a male dominated society promoting the assumption that the only normal sexual relationship is between a man and a woman -- “Society enforces heterosexuality, branding as deviant any deviance or noncompliance.” Men get blamed for everything! Supposedly “The normalcy of heterosexuality and the defiance of that are both political acts.”  Where is the politics in Gen. 1:27-28 at the beginning when God created male and female? Adam was the husband and Eve his wife. This was God’s order not a human invention – and long standing (Cf. I Pet. 3:5-7; Gen. 2:25, 3:6).

Read about the “virtuous woman” in Prov. 31:10-31. She was industrious and got full credit for her own works and that well deserved. And she chose a good husband (Pr. 31:23) — no pain coming from real men in telling you that (Cf. Gen. 2:20).  Abigail was also a wise woman (I Sam. 25) -- on the other hand for whatever reason she made a poor choice in husbands and married a rogue and scoundrel — she admitted as did her servants that’s what he was, but she didn’t “hook up” with a woman after God killed wicked Nabal for that would have been an abomination (Cf. Rom. 1:26-27).  This inept theory ties itself to gender self-identification. There is no such thing acceptable before God as a “she” who is the husband of another “she” who is her wife. Yet children are being intentionally confused in being taught this kind of language early on now.

Surely Empowerment and Courage ~ Abortion

Our society has spawned its own twisted view of womanhood, motherhood and marriage. Some would characterize the solution of abortion – with connected thoughts, feelings and actions as “courage” that displays the empowerment of “I am woman.” Their leaders praise with their lips. One can hear in so many tones and ways, “She’s so courageous to realize that she’s just not ready for motherhood;” “She’s so brave to be an example to young girls who would otherwise have destroyed their lives by the burden of motherhood;” “One’s career will accomplish much more good without the interference,” etc. In the shouts of “How bold!” “How Courageous!” you see the praise of those who forsake God’s law (Pr. 28:4).

Advocates of taking the life of the unborn would have young women to feel honored by what God claims to be dishonorable (Rom. 13:9). Realize the lifestyle and beliefs of just who it is that is praising the selfishness, cowardice and unwillingness to accept the consequences in our society. Marriage is the right time for sex (I Cor. 6:18; Heb. 13:4).

Surely the Ends of the World ~ But Don’t Quit Your Job!

How did we make it to November, 2017 with all those intelligent hucksters claiming to know the Bible and predicting the end of world? For all of the suckers who don’t study the Bible and also those who really enjoy this arrogant “show” consider what Peter wrote: “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up” (2 Pet. 3:10). Thieves don’t announce in advance, “Hey I’m coming on such and such a day in case you’ve been wondering.”

Remember all the hype over the Black Moon in August? And now you know it doesn’t fulfill Bible prophecy connected with the second coming! Then came the mysterious Planet X hoax and a numerologist predicting the end on Sept. 23rd, 2017. Remember the whole “mess” of speculation falsely using Rev. 12:1-2 with a lot of rank “astrology” tossed in? No sooner does one predictor make a fool of himself than another chimes in. With a zoom here comes asteroid 2012 TC4 on Oct. 12, 2017. We are told it can be as close as 4,200 miles and a far away as 170,000 miles --- get the picture. What a sign of the Apocalypse! Scriptures used are out of context, and most of them erringly use scriptures from the Gospels relating to signs portending the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by Titus. And just what could motives be other than notoriety and monetary gain?

Surely Not the Time for Two Drinking Parties ~ Christmas & New Years

Jesus’ warning was to stay alert for as a thief in the night He will come, and many will be caught in drunkenness and debauchery (Matt. 24:49-51). These will be lost. His list of the works of the flesh in Gal. 5:19-21 condemn drunkenness, revelries and such like. And again in I Peter 4:3 you will find drunkenness, revelries and drinking parties listed as just a part of their past lifetimes among the ungodly before obedience to Christ.

Trench’s Synonyms of the New Testament defines “drinking parties” as “the drinking bout, the banquet, the symposium, not of necessity excessive… but giving the opportunity for excess.” We are taught to avoid such. The Am. Heritage Dictionary defines a “symposium” as 3. A convivial meeting for drinking, music, and intellectual discussion among the ancient Greeks. [Lat., drinking party…]. And “convivial” is defined as “1. Fond of feasting, drinking, a good company; sociable. 2. Merry; festive; a convivial atmosphere.”

There is direct application to parties this time of the year. The Xmas party is often an opportunity to drink and some wouldn’t have it any other way. And just a few days later you’ll hear many jesting about their upcoming New Year’s Party --- either they or someone else was just so bombed last year, ha-ha. Such drinking does not respect and honor the sober mindedness required by the Lord. Peter also said in 1Pe 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” And yet the cheer flows with approval from Christmas to New Years.
