Jezebel A Woman Politician ~ Surely Quality
Skills, Empathy with Honor
You read about King Ahab (one of the worst)
and his wife Jezebel in I Kings 17-22. Ahab blamed Elijah for God’s judgment
(famine) upon Israel and called him a “troubler of Israel” (I Ki. 17:1, 18:17).
The true troubler was Ahab and his house – in forsaking God’s commandments and
following Baal they’d brought His judgments upon Israel (I Ki. 18:18). Prophets
of God were often considered enemies for telling the truth. Jezebel massacred
the prophets of the Lord, had 400 idolatrous prophets who ate at her table and
practiced witchcraft (I Ki. 18:4, 18:19; 2 Ki. 19:22). The Bible says there was
no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness before God, because Jezebel
his wife stirred him up (I Ki. 21:25). Jezebel swore she’d murder Elijah when
she learned more about the famine and his victory over the 450 idolatrous
prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel (I Ki. 19:1-2).
When Ahab wanted Naboth’s vineyard it was
Jezebel’s plot with the letter she wrote to the elders and nobles living in his
city that led to his murder. She commanded them to set up a fast and seat
Naboth with honor before the people, and then to seat two scoundrels before him
to lie against him and falsely accuse him of blaspheming God and the king. And
then to take him out and stone him to death. When her dirty deed was
accomplished they informed her and she told Ahab to take the vineyard. Never be
so naïve as to think just men use power and intimidation over others, while
women just ooze love and empathy with honor.
Surely God Had No Place in the Creation ~ But

Eccl. 5:2 “Do not be rash with your mouth,
And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in
heaven, and you on earth; therefore let your words be few.” Heaven is not a
fairy tale! Romans 1:20 says “For since the creation of the world His invisible
attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even
His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” This applies
to great minds too. Hawking’s personal warnings for mankind came fast prior to
his death. A must for mankind was to leave and colonize elsewhere or face
extinction. If it wasn’t Asteroid Strikes it was A.I., and if not those it was
climate change and over-population. Add to these human aggression and even
aliens, and you have a demented view of a hopeless existence.
Psalms 115:16 tells us the earth was given
to man by God. Man was to fill the earth and subdue it (Gen. 1:28) --- space
aliens aren’t going to take it. Ps. 93:1 tells us it is firmly set – no
asteroid strike will annihilate it. A “dull” man does not understand the real
purpose and issue of life here is to fear God and keep His commandments -- the
difference between eternal life and eternal death (Eccl. 12:13; Matt.
25:34-46). This earth will one day perish by His decree (Ps. 102:25-26; Heb.
1:10-12; 2 Pet. 3:10-13). Mankind will not annihilate itself. I Cor. 15:52 in
context clearly teaches that there will Christians here upon this earth when
Christ comes.
Surely Very Beneficial ~ The “Virtues” of
Vulgar Language
For the uneducated and all who lack the ability
to express themselves consider what some call positives that cussing brings to
one’s life. In an article by Amanda Devlin (thesun.co.uk) the claims of experts
are stated: “SWEARING makes you happier, healthier, more intelligent and
honest, research suggests. Experts claim using offensive language shows someone
has a larger vocabulary and could be linked with a higher IQ.” The emphasis is,
“It's believed swearing increases circulation and releases endorphins - making
you feel happier. While it also allows you to communicate exactly how you feel
about something as you feel more able to be honest.” She says, “It was also
suggested that those who swore more often were less likely to lie and have
higher levels of integrity.” Added is, “Psychologist Richard Stephens claims
his research proves swearing can increase tolerance to pain.”
To say that it makes one feel able to be
honest lacks much, for it certainly doesn’t make one more moral. Hear Paul:
“But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy
communication out of your mouth” (Col. 3:8). Filthy communication, which is low
and obscene speech, precedes lying in Col. 3:8-9. Eph. 4:29 says “Let no
corrupt (*morally worthless) communication proceed out of your mouth…”; in Ja. 3:4-6
such defiles (soils) the whole body; in 2 Pet. 2:7-8 the filthy behavior both
seen and heard vexed the righteous; in 2 Pet. 2:18 the moral filth spoken
entraps others through fleshly lusts. Thus one will find an altogether
different point tied to pain in the rich man’s predicament in hades (Lk. 16:24,
28).
The “Y” Chromosome ~ Surely “Men” Disappear in
less than 5 Million Years

suggested the following: “Now scientists think the Y chromosome may disappear
in less than five million years, leaving the future of men on planet Earth
uncertain.” The “Y” is said to be shrinking and anything but strong and
enduring. Here’s a stupid statement: “Women, after all, manage just fine
without one.”
The battle is on in the UK scientific
community between those called “remainers” versus the “leavers.” The
“remainers” claim that the Y’s defense mechanisms do a great job and have
rescued the Y chromosome. The “leavers” say all the defense mechanism are doing
is allowing the Y to “cling on by its fingernails, before eventually dropping
off the cliff.” So the debate continues for the next 4.5 Million years! Of
course the “leavers” argument sounds just like the atheist’s on evolution ---
the proof is always way out of sight and present time. Also mentioned is the
sterile thought of genetic engineering possibly allowing same-sex female
couples to conceive.
The earth and man’s existence are tied
together by God’s plan. Contemplating
man’s “existence” on earth, or just the male’s “existence” and then ceasing to
exist misses God’s intended purpose for mankind to serve Him (Eccl. 12:13-14; I
Cor. 15:19). When Christ comes the “earth” and “the material part of man” ends
the same day, that day (I Cor. 15:51-52; 2 Pet. 3:10-12). The pressing concern
is that you repent and are baptized for the remission of your sins while you
have time (Acts 17:24-31; Act 2:37-38).
