A Win for Women
To argue that sex refers to biological sex and does not include “gender
identity” has recently triumphed for women athletes – the U.S. Dept. of Ed.
recently notified Franklin Pierce University that the Concerned Women for
America won their suit to protect women athletes from transgender competitors
(Cf. Breitbart news article posted by Penny Star, Oct. 17, 2020). Such is
actually against women – it steals rightful awards and
scholarships belonging to women. It appears this triumph is resounding
throughout college sports! The article states “Title IX, which was passed
into law 48 years ago to give women and girls equal opportunities in sports
based on biological sex.”
If it doesn’t fit with one then it doesn’t fit another – the foolishness of
saying that a man can get pregnant doesn’t fit! Do you see politicians using
lasciviousness to promote themselves? Do you want to go back to the strife over
students’ bathrooms and showers of choice etc.? It doesn’t fit!
Our first amendment protects freedom of speech, applies to religious beliefs,
and gives the right to assemble. The Bible presents the clear distinction of
biological sex, male and female at creation (Gen. 1:27), and marriage between
husband (male, bio. sex) and wife (female, bio. sex), Matt. 19:3-6, 9. Saying
the practice of homosexuality is permitted by civil law is not the same as
saying christians, and
others, do not have the right to say religiously they believe it is sinful
conduct. True christians
believe and teach “all” works of the flesh identified in the New Testament are
sinful (Cf. Rom. 1:24-32; I Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21; I Tim. 1:10).

PAUSE…now consider Jesus’ statement
concerning the value your soul and its eternal well-being after this life, and
that along with needed warnings and examples one of which is a “real
person.”
1.
Statement: Mat 16:26 For what profit is it to a man if
he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in
exchange for his soul?
2.
Warning: Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill
the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able
to destroy both soul and body in hell.
3.
Parable of the fool who congratulates himself on his riches: Lk 12:20 But
God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee:
then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
4.
Real Person who didn’t consider his own soul: Lk 16:23 And
being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and
Lazarus in his bosom. Lk 16:24 "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham,
have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in
water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.'
5.
Lesson: Do not think God will not do this to you if you ignore the value of
your own soul?

PAUSE…now consider Jesus’ statement

YOUR SOUL: Mat 16:26 For what profit is it to a man if

WARNING: Luk 12:15 And He said to them, "Take
heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the
abundance of the things he possesses."
3.
IMPOSSIBILITY: Luk 16:13 “…You cannot serve God and
mammon."
4.
REAL PERSONS: Luk 16:14 Now the Pharisees, who were
lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him. Luk 16:15 And He said to them, "You are those who
justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that
which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.
5.
DIED UNPREPARED: The parable of the man who congratulates himself on his
riches, Luk 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou
fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those
things be, which thou hast provided?
6.
THE LESSON: Do you not think God will say the same to you if your treasure in
life is to esteem the things He despises?
