Who We Are

We are the Valley Church Of Christ, 2375 W. 8th Street,  Yuma, AZ. 85364. For a map of our address click here. Our telephone: 1-928-782-5058.

As we introduce ourselves we would like for you to know that we identify ourselves simply as Christians. Acts 11:26 says, “And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.”

We are privileged to wear this name because we have been baptized into Christ. “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Gal. 3:26-27).

Our baptism was for the remission of our sins (Acts 2:38) that we might rise to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).

As a congregation or church we identify ourselves as a church of Christ. Romans 16:16 says, “The churches of  Christ greet you.” We recognize Christ as our only head for Ephesians 5:23 teaches, “For the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the church, and He is the Savior of the body.”

Being “in Christ” we have the assurance that we are complete in Him, “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him...” (Col. 2:9-10). We know that “all spiritual blessings” are in Christ (Eph. 1:3).

We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17), and the New Testament as His will for all of mankind today (Matt. 26:28; Romans 1:16).

As a church of Christ we are self governing without any denominational affiliation.  The scriptures teach that each congregation should be self governing under the oversight of its own elders (I Peter 5:1-3).

Being just Christians we strive to have scriptural authority

for all we teach and practice as a church. There’s even more

information about us on the next page: click here.
